About the Course

This course equips learners with early recognition and management of heat stroke, a life-threatening emergency, within pre-hospital settings. It covers the burden and epidemiology of heat-related illness, focusing on timely identification of critical symptoms such as altered mental status and high core temperature. Learners will gain knowledge for providing on-call guidance, on-scene cooling interventions, and effective enroute care to stabilize the patient. The course also emphasizes accurate documentation and structured handover for seamless transition to definitive hospital care.
