This lecture includes the various infections which are transmitted by Blood - Transfusion Transmissible Infections (TTI). The mandatory tests to be done as per Drugs and Cosmetic Act 1945 for every unit of donated blood are HIV, HBV, HCV, Syphilis and Malaria. The various strategies to prevent TTI are also described in this course.
