About the Course
The components of blood include plasma, platelets, Red Blood Cells and White Blood Cells. The approach to treatment, referred to as Blood component Therapy, allows several patients to benefit from one unit of donated blood. The transfusible components that can be derived from donated blood are red cells, platelets, plasma, cryoprecipitate, and granulocytes. The plasma fractions are, Albumin, Immunoglobulin, Fibrinogen, Factor VIII and Factor IX.
