About the Course
This module discusses the chemistry of carbohydrates and how they are metabolized in the human body. They serve as the primary source of energy for living organisms and release energy required for cellular function. Further, the pathways concerned with glycogen synthesis and breakdown along with minor pathways concerning carbohydrate metabolism will be discussed. Finally, the module will end with a discussion on how carbohydrate metabolism is regulated.
