About the Course

Purpose: The increase in funds allotted to public health demand a better planning to elicit the best results from the resources provided. Since the district is the administrative unit throughout India, doctors managing health care deliveries from district and sub district level facilities must be well acquainted with the planning process and its application to get better results. 

Time: Three hours 

Author: Prof Shiv Chandra Mathur. Prof Mathur is the Public Health Specialist and Education Specialist at Institutional and Technical Strengthening – National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (ITS - NIHFW), New Delhi. Prof Shiv Mathur holds the Chair of Asia-Pacific Alliance for Action on Human Resources for Health (www.aaahrh.org) 

Prerequisite: This unit should be read only after completing the first ten units of Health Management course (C1_U1 to U10) of PDC.
