About the Course
Purpose: The term, health promotion measures, refers to all those measures, which are taken in order to promote good health. While communicable diseases can be prevented through direct interventions like vaccinations and chemoprophylaxis, the prevention of non-communicable diseases can be dealt with health promotion. In this context, managers of public health systems owe a responsibility to encourage the communities in their area to adopt measures for promoting good health.
