About the Course
Purpose: Monitoring and Evaluation are the techniques used in observing the direction of a programme. Trainees of the Professional Development Course (PDC) have to monitor and evaluate the health related programmes in their jurisdiction. This unit aims at enhancing their capacity to monitor and evaluate the interventions being made in the heath sector in their respective areas.

Author: Dr L Lam Khan Piang
Dr Piang has been teaching Monitoring and Evaluation for the past six years at the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare. He has also been involved in the evaluation of various health programmes.
Prerequisite: Please read the unit on Concepts, Functions and Principles of Health Management (PDC_C1_U1) before this unit.
