About the Course
Purpose: Doctors managing the delivery of health care services are responsible to retrieve the information on morbidity and mortality in their jurisdiction in a systematic manner. The international system of classification of diseases and deaths, as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO) can be the best way to do this, as it provides the scope for a comparison over time as well as between different places. Furthermore, the WHO guides its member states on medical certification of causes of death and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF).
